We go here quite often for food and drinks. The bar on the main level has a rotating special drink every week. The food is good and the menu changes with the seasons as well. If you're looking for an intimate vibe, this is the place. The brick room downstairs is much more lively on weekend nights. Live music most evenings.

Stayed at the Hotel last night and very much enjoyed the restaurant and cozy beautiful bar. Great chill atmosphere. We ordered from the newly updated menu -Steak Fred and the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Both served hot and tasty and full of flavor. Every meal I saw served looked delicious. Someone knows what they’re doing in the kitchen. Also a shout out to sweet Gracie behind the bar! Made for a great night out!

Atmosphere was really quiet, service was fast and friendly, the food was wonderful. We got the special- fried mushrooms. Also good is the breaded pork with garlic mashed potatoes, ravioli, and Alfredo. Drinks were good. Establishment is clean. Nice patio for dining - can be loud from the road roadside traffic or train passing nearby on the river.

This gem of a hotel is a beautiful little OASIS in Boonville! The hotel and restaurant are charming, they have done an amazing job of preserving the history. The staff was superb, they went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of - in both the hotel and the restaurant. Their prices are superb - in both the hotel and the restaurant. The food was fabulous! We had a hard time selecting what we wanted because everything sounded good. Good variety of food to pick from, and some unique selections. If we could give them 10 stars out of 5, we would. You must go here, you won’t regret it. We’re already making plans to come back, and we’re from Florida.

'The Fred' wasn't busy, so we decided to eat in the restaurant versus The Brick. We sat by the Christmas tree and had a very nice quiet dinner. The decor gives an older vibe closer to the period. I got the Goat Cheese Lasagna, which appeared to be different. It was very good and the sauce had great flavor. Hubbie got the sirloin with veggies. It was cooked medium versus medium rare, but he enjoyed it, and there were no leftovers. Glad we were able to experience the restaurant.

The service was amazing, even coming in as late as we did! Very attentive, and the server made us feel like we were her only table, even though she had others to tend to. The food overall was amazing. Steak Fred and the mushroom ravioli were our entrees of choice. The only complaint I had was the ravioli was a little on the salty side for me. The cocktails were amazing as well! The next time we are in the area, this would definitely be on our list to visit again!

We drive past Boonville maybe 2-4 times a year, and always try to stop here for dinner. I’ve never stayed in the hotel but love the food, service, decor, and vibe at The Fred Dining Room..I’ve liked everything I ever had there and have always had warm, friendly service. I think it’s very good value for the money you spend. That is to say, it’s a little bit pricey for the locale, but it’s worth it. It’s not a ripoff. It’s not quick like Waffle House or cheap like Hardee’s or familiar like Friday’s! It’s a lovely, personable, non-chain place with a local, sophisticated-but-relaxed flavor. If you want to live it up a little and spend some time and a little bit of money on a nice dinner with your honey, this is a good place to do it.

We had drinks and nachos in the bar. Chelsie, our bartender served the perfect, not over sweet, Old Fashioned. The chicken nachos were a wonderful mix of sweet and spicy with fresh pineapple, jalapeño, cheese, tomato, and black beans. Dining room menu also looked good. Next trip we will be staying here. Great heritage hotel with the friendliest personnel.
